I'm editing 4K footage from my Sony A7 IV and my current machine struggles. Should I go for the MacBook Pro 16-inch M3 Max or the Dell XPS 15? Budget is flexible.

For sustained 4K timelines the MacBook Pro 16-inch M3 Max with 32GB is hard to beat on battery and thermals. If you prefer Windows, spec the XPS 15 with 32GB and the 1TB drive.
